On behalf of the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA), the Convention Committee and the NIBA Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to invite you to be a part of the 2023 NIBA Convention, to be held at the Star Event Centre on the beautiful Gold Coast.
This year’s theme is “Reimagine – Think Differently”.
In a rapidly changing world, what works today will not necessarily work tomorrow. Having been through a sustained hard market, a pandemic and continuous regulatory reform, now is an opportune time to reimagine how we approach our businesses, our clients, and our teams.
The role of the insurance broker has never been more critical, and so too the need for brokers to stay on top of, if not ahead, of emerging trends, technology and competitive advancements. As the one voice for insurance brokers, NIBA brings together the entire profession, from senior brokers to young professionals representing listed groups, international firms and the many SMEs that make up the NIBA Membership.
The program provides a diversity of speakers to enhance brokers’ business knowledge, stay on top of the latest trends and create the right mindset for continued success, with a range of plenary speakers and breakout sessions throughout the Convention.
There will be plenty of networking opportunities, from the Welcome function on Sunday night, to an open dine around on Monday night and as well as the Gala dinner on Tuesday night where we will be celebrating excellence with the awarding of the QBE-sponsored 2023 Broker of the Year and Vero-sponsored 2023 Young Broker of the Year, along with Large General Insurer of the Year, Specialty Insurer of the Year and Underwriting Agency of the Year and the prestigious Lex McKeown Trophy.
The NIBA Marketplace will provide the perfect opportunity to engage with brokers throughout the course of the Convention.
This is the one event of the year that truly represents the full breadth of the broking profession, it is time to Reimagine, and we look forward to seeing you there.
